China's first instrument to study the internal fine structure of materials

According to "Guangming Daily" reported on January 4, 2007: What is the electronic structure inside the material? Today, this puzzle that plagues scientists is expected to be solved. The "Ultra High Energy Resolution Vacuum Ultraviolet Laser Angle-Resolved Photoelectron Spectrometer" jointly developed by the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Physics and Chemistry has recently passed the expert appraisal by the Academician Gong Changde. Experts believe that the instrument is suitable for the study of the fine electronic structure of complex systems, and provides a key experimental means for explaining the causes of the singular physical properties of advanced materials, such as the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity.

Researcher Zhou Xingjiang, the project leader, said that the material is metal, insulator, semiconductor or superconductor. These macroscopic physical properties are determined by the microscopic electronic structure of the material, and photoelectron spectrometer is an important tool for analyzing the electronic structure of materials. In the past, photoelectron spectrometers mainly adopted two methods: synchronous radiation source or gas discharge source. Vacuum ultraviolet lasers are a new source of light other than these two sources, and have made breakthroughs in solving energy resolution and surface sensitivity.

Experts such as Gan Zikai and other experts have consistently believed that this is the first time in the world to apply vacuum ultraviolet laser to high resolution angular resolution photoelectron spectroscopy. The main technical indicators are in the international leading position.

Super-Soft PVC/Nitrile Sponge Rubber

A new semi-closed cell version has been developed as an alternative to Nitto and Armacell grades. The product is a standard PVC/Nitrile sponge rubber and the cells have been crushed to open some of them up to create a soft low compression seal product.
